Zurab Note — When the Wind Becomes Your Compass

I stood in the wind, watching the sunrise, and caught myself thinking that this helps me maintain balance within myself — enjoying life moment by moment, yet feeling the eternity of nature. The sand seemed to sink into the water with its pink hue — it’s indescribable… you have to experience this moment yourself, and then you’ll understand what I mean.

What Makes Elafonissi Special

Elafonissi (or Elafonisi) is located on the southwest coast of Crete, about 75 km from Chania.
It’s world-famous for its pink sand, created by crushed seashells, and its shallow turquoise lagoon that stretches far into the sea.

It’s technically a small islet, separated from the mainland by a shallow channel — often walkable when the tide is low.
Families love it because the water is calm and warm, and photographers chase it for the surreal color palette that changes with the light.
